The WTC is planning a Capitol Mile alumni and friends party on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This will be the 15th running of the Capitol Mile, and it is appropriate to celebrate the legacy, the fast times, the fun, and the volunteers who have made it possible.
All past club members, friends, and runners who have participated in some manner are invited to attend. We will have a cook-out at Klief Park, which is located at the corner of S. Orchard St. and Bowen Ct. This is 1 block south of Regent Street, and 3 blocks west of S. Park Street. Beverages, assorted grilled items, pasta, and table service will be provided. A post-party gathering at a local pub is optional. If you would like to bring a desert, favorite pasta or a fruit/vegetable dish, please RSVP your intent.
RSVP your interest by replying to Paul Turpin to help plan, attend, or to participate in the party.
Please then plan to come on Sunday and either run, watch, or volunteer for the Capitol Mile. Registration starts at 1:00 pm, and the first event is at 3:00 pm.

June Meeting & Summer Emailing Lists
Posted by: Jeremy Berg

Many of you are away from Madison for the summer, but for those remaining here, we'll be holding our June meeting this Wednesday (6/10) at 7:30pm in 2637
Humanities (the same room May's meeting was in). We'll be talking
about the Summer Track Series and the Capital Mile, as well as one
more idea I have to reduce our track costs (I know, it's like it
never goes away). If you have any other topics you think we should
discuss, send me an email sometime before the meeting, and I'll make
sure it gets included.
Additionally, I've been thinking it would be good to get a summer
email list together for organizing daily runs and such. I think Ana
has already done so for the Women, so if you want to run in Madison
this summer (or just want to know what those who are in town are up
to), but haven't gotten on Ana's list yet, let her know.
On the men's side, if you're in Madison and want to run with other
club members over the summer, just shoot me an email, and I'll
compile all those that respond into a list and send it back out so
that we can plan things like weekend long runs, etc. without spamming
the whole track club list.
