From October 5,
2007 meet at Beloit College:
On Saturday, the WTC men came out 14 strong to
run at the Beloit Old
English Classic. The intrepid squad braved an 88 F October day,
three
creek crossings, and a bunch of obstacles to win the race with
less
than half the score of the next team. Notably, Brandon Schultz
endured
a shove into the creek and emerged unscathed, Scott Klasek and
Bryan
Barker completed their first and toughest 8k with the club, and
Zach
Bruns took home the champion's stein.
WTC scored 30 points to place 1st and brought home a sweet
plaque--maybe Jim needs to get a fireplace to put it over. In
addition, WTC placed 5 in the top 15 who brought home classic
t-shirts.

This weekend, the women's cross country team had a great race
at the Olde English Classic in Beloit, WI. Jumping haybales, crossing
creaks, above average temperatures, the whole deal was an adventure.
Overall, the women placed quite well - coming in 4th of 8 teams.
Beloit won with 39 points, and WTC was in 4th with 74 points.
Notably, WTC beat out MSOE as well as three other teams.
